Provide expert Health & Safety (H&S) guidance and support to Business Development Managers (BDMs) during meetings with new and potential clients across various industries. Your role is to showcase our services, emphasize the benefits of compliance, and add value to help convert prospects into clients.
Job Overview:
In this role, you’ll work closely with BDMs to deliver industry-compliant, practical H&S advice before, during, and after client meetings, ensuring they have the insights needed to secure deals.
You’ll also engage directly with new and prospective clients via MS Teams meetings and phone calls, helping them understand key H&S requirements, compliance risks, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date with H&S regulations, legislation, and industry best practices.
- Support BDMs by answering H&S queries effectively and demonstrating the value of our services.
- Regularly review BDM logs, assess client needs, and provide clear, compliance-focused guidance.
- Build strong working relationships with BDMs to improve collaboration and trust.
- Review prospective clients’ H&S documentation and prepare reports for BDMs to use as sales tools.
- Accurately log all advice in internal systems to ensure a seamless transition to the H&S advisory team.
- Stay current with internal training and legal updates to ensure all guidance aligns with company standards.
- Contribute to reporting on BDM conversions and client engagement levels for management insights.
- Maintain accurate client records and updates within Salesforce.
- Participate in company sales and advisory conferences, as well as relevant training sessions.
- Lead internal training, team knowledge-sharing sessions, and external webinars.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a Health and Safety advisory role.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal health and safety regulations, including workplace safety standards, occupational health laws, and compliance requirements.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in Health & Safety.
- Designation: Pursuing CRSP or completed certification is highly desired.
- Assets: Experience in a KPI driven environment such as sales, business services, human resources or operations is a strong asset.
