As a Graphic Designer, you’ll be an important part of the global marketing team, working closely with in-house, digital marketers and campaign managers to create beautiful and compelling graphics, marketing materials, sales collaterals, banners, emails, presentations and more, with support from the graphic designers in other offices.
This is a full-time on-site role in our state-of-the-art downtown Toronto office, off King station.
This role will be taking the lead with graphic design in our Canadian office working with the local marketing team and global counterparts in creating visually compelling designs for digital media. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about design. You will collaborate closely with the marketing, sales and content teams to help bring our brand vision to life through innovative and engaging designs.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in graphic design. You will love collaborating with others to share ideas and feedback, and have a high attention to detail. You have a talent for visual storytelling, creative problem solving and the ability to create compelling graphics that engage and inspire our audience. This candidate has experience in multiple fields of design. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Create graphical assets and marketing collateral both from existing templates and those of your own creation – such as social media graphics, internal comms materials, whitepapers, eBooks, infographics, digital ads, presentation decks, and elements for websites etc
- Create and edit multimedia content, such as images, videos, and animation.
- Work within brand guidelines on global briefs maintaining corporate standards across all graphics
- Work with external agencies where appropriate to maintain brand standards – ensuring everything is aligned with brand guidelines
- Working closely with the wider marketing, automation and sales team and other cross-functional teams to create compelling graphics for maximum impact
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creating work for the Canadian office and potentially also for UK and other global offices in, ANZ and Ireland
- Understand current market trends when designing for specific audiences
Essential skills & experience
- 2-3 years proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills
- Knowledge of video editing software and motion graphics a plus
- Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing a plus
- Excellent in the Adobe Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign)
- Experience in creating templates in Canva
- Proficient in AfterEffects would be advantageous
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Self-starting and curious
- Up to date with design trends on different marketing platforms –
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Hold a formal qualification in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Digital Design, Art or a directly related field
- Basic understanding of commercial design processes and good knowledge of design aesthetics
- Must present a strong portfolio prior to the interview
