      Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading manufacturing company to recruit a Purchasing Assistant. The successful applicant will support the Procurement department by coordinating the procurement of goods and services. You will manage supplier relationships and assist with inventory management.

      The Role:

      • Creating and processing purchase orders
      • Manage suppliers to ensure product availability, discrepancies and track deliveries
      • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished on time
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase activities
      • Support Senior Procurement team with negotiations

      Skills and Qualifications:

      • Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement essential.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
      • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and record-keeping.
