      We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our client’s payroll function and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, compliance management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of taking full ownership of the payroll function, allowing senior management to focus on their core responsibilities.       Responsibilities:

      • Oversee and manage the payroll department, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff
      • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations
      • Review and verify payroll data inputted by junior staff for accuracy and completeness
      • Handle high-level payroll compliance issues and regulatory matters
      • Manage filings, vacation tracking, and benefits administration
      • Liaise with payroll providers (Payworks in Canada and Paychex in US) to ensure smooth operations
      • Conduct internal audits of payroll processes and implement improvements as needed
      • Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management
      • Resolve complex payroll issues and discrepancies

      Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and compliance management
      • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll laws and regulations
      • Experience with US payroll regulations is an asset
      • Proficiency in payroll software systems
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Strong leadership and team management abilities
      • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
