Our client is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all payroll data by conducting thorough reconciliations of payroll accounts and reports. The successful candidate will work closely with both the payroll and finance teams to guarantee that payroll is accurately recorded, processed, and compliant with company policies and external regulations. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining an efficient, user-friendly payroll system that aligns with company objectives, legal requirements, and best practices.
Payroll Data Integrity: Perform detailed reconciliations of payroll accounts and reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve discrepancies between payroll records, financial systems, and bank accounts in a timely manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with payroll and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and compliance with company policies and external regulations.
System Efficiency: Contribute to maintaining an efficient and user-friendly payroll system that aligns with company objectives and legal requirements.
Compliance: Ensure payroll processes adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and best practices.
Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in payroll management.
Proven experience working in a unionised environment.
Familiarity and experience with Workday payroll system.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
